Atelier is paper republic’s bespoke and made-to-order business department, spanning from both personalized made-to-order products to live commerce. As one of the company’s most promising and differentiating areas, we see significant potential to develop our L’Atelier into a fully autonomous business unit.
As Head of L’Atelier, you will take full ownership of the business, from defining its long-term vision and strategy to driving its end-to-end performance, building the team, structures, and processes needed to scale it. You’ll have the autonomy to shape our Atelier as a standalone business while working closely with the wider paper republic team to create meaningful synergies. It is a rare opportunity to shape and grow a business unit from the ground up within an already fast-growing, international company.
Who we are
paper republic is one of the world’s fastest growing brand of premium notebooks and leather accessories. We design, produce and ship our notebooks directly to 300.000 customers worldwide through our own ecommerce website. We are a dynamic international team over 120 people with more than 35 nationalities who like to develop and implement ideas together. Based in the heart of the 9th district in Vienna, paper republic HQ spreads over 1000sqm, bringing together production, warehouse, office, and shop in the first district, making it a unique, fun and beautiful place to work.
Your responsibilities
You will define the strategy and long-term vision for L’Atelier and translate it into the customer experience, team, and resources required to achieve it
You will own the end-to-end performance of the L’Atelier business unit, from lead acquisition and conversion to revenue, production, and operations
You will lead the L’Atelier team across sales, production, and operations, establishing all processes needed to scale the businesses
You will represent L’Atelier both internally across departments and externally with partners and industry contacts, supporting networking and business development
You will specifically liaise with the marketing department to ensure alignment on the brand, dedicated support and an effective go-to-market approach
You will prepare budget and resourcing proposals, ensuring the business has the resources needed to grow
Your profile
You have experience in general management, business-unit leadership, or a comparable entrepreneurial role, ideally in premium, bespoke, made-to-order, or design-led consumer goods
You bring a strong commercial mindset and some good financial acumen, with experience in developing sales funnels, pricing structures and catalogues, driving negotiations, and owning the commercial performance of a business unit
You have an appreciation for creativity, design, and craftsmanship, combined with the business mindset to turn creative ideas and customer needs into commercially successful, high-quality products and experiences
You have a good understanding of production and manufacturing, ideally in a B2C environment, and know how to build scalable processes around the product and customer experience
You have strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a track record of building and developing cross-functional teams as well as representing a business unit internally and externally with partners, clients, and industry contacts
You have experience partnering closely with Marketing on brand positioning, go-to-market planning, and campaign execution

A salary of €3.919,67 gross for a 40 h/week, with adjustments based on education and experience
